How accurate is the JEE Main Percentile Predictor?

Our predictor uses linear interpolation between 10 verified, shift-specific NTA 2026 scorecard benchmarks. In an independent post-result audit of January 2026 Session 1, predictions were within ±0.5 percentile points for 8 out of 10 shifts — better than any table-lookup tool.

Why do different shifts require different marks for the same percentile?

NTA normalizes scores using equi-percentile equating. In the easiest shift (Jan 21 S2), you needed 171 marks for 99%ile. In the toughest shift (Jan 22 S2), only 155 marks was needed for the same 99%ile. Our predictor maps each shift individually.

What is a good percentile in JEE Main 2026?

99+ %ile opens top NITs/IIITs for CSE General category. 97–99%ile is strong for core branches in major NITs. 93–95%ile typically qualifies for JEE Advanced (General). For OBC-NCL, the qualifying cutoff is around 79–81%ile.
